Until now, CCRDI has completed 1550 Km expressway in reconnaissance and design, 170 large and extral large bridges, totally about 76,000 linear meters long, and 70 long and large tunnels with total length of 185,000 lineat meters. Additionall, traffic engineering with 6,200 Km long and environment evaluations engineering with 6,500 Km long have achieved. Some of the techniques in highway, bridge and tunnel are to  the top level in home or in the world.

CCRDI continues to develop by technology innovation, and apply the technology achievements to  the industrialization, such as complete technology of design, material processing and construction for bridge steel deck engineering and highway surface engineering, the complete technology researches, test, evaluation and production in bridge cable and tunnel luminaire, the construction technology of communications, monitoring system and toll system in highway traffic engineering, etc.

As one of the chief research institutes in China, CCRDI has conducted or participated a gread deal of specifications of either national standard or trade standard. Among trade standards for tunnel, 80 percent were compiled by CCRDI.
